What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior.  Behavior analysis helps us to understand how behavior works, how behavior is affected by the environment, and how learning takes place.  ABA therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning.

ABA therapy programs can help:

  • Increase language and communication skills
  • Improve attention, focus, social skills, memory, and academics
  • Decrease problem behaviors

Our Services

We provide home, school, and community-based ABA therapy services for individuals aged 2 and up utilizing verbal behavior (VB) methodologies, discrete trial training (DTT), and natural environment training (NET). Additional services include functional behavior analysis (FBA), and development of behavior intervention plans (BIP).

Assessment

ABA Therapy Assessment

All services will begin with a direct and indirect assessment by one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA). The assessment process will help us get to know the child and their family and identify how we can best meet their needs.

Intervention

ABA Therapy Intervention

After the assessment is complete, a treatment plan will be developed to identify goals that will be addressed during therapy. Goals will be individualized based on child and family need.

Supervision
